Today, I want to introduce my current favorites true wireless headphones – Pamu Slide. One of the headphones that rarely has a sound inspired me so much, paired with a battery life of 10 hours and a really powerful deep bass. Sounds too good to be true? Let’s see.
The Pamu Slide are delivered in a white color, quite simple packaging. In addition to the headphones, the charging case is included, a USB-C charging cable, two pairs of silicone ear tips in different sizes and of course have a user’s manual. This again is a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, which has already reached over $ 700,000 in just a few days.
I would compare it with the Apple Airpods, at least a litte inspiration. The Pamu are classic wireless in ear headphones, otherwise, the look is kept very simple, just a small LED above the discreet Pamu logo shows the the acute connection. A control is possible by touch and splits on both sides. In the upper part, a light tap with your finger is enough for standard things, like play, pause, skip and volume adjustment. Thanks to built-in microphones, the voice assistant of the smartphone can also be activated and calls can be accepted and guided. You get the voice of the interlocutor even on both ears – with most other true wireless headphones you get it only to one Earbud. With about 7g per headphone, they are pleasantly light and just fit perfectly in my ears. No feeling of pressure, even after several hours. Likewise, when jogging, the padmate pamu earbuds sit perfectly and you never have the feeling of falling.
As the name Pamu Slide suggests, something slide here and that’s the lid of the case. This can be pushed quite casually backwards and then exposes the headphones. The case itself is slightly larger and heavier than other true wireless colleagues, but has also built a 2000mAh battery, which can be used as a wireless charging power bank. So you can put your smartphone on the case and it will charge – well, at least if it has built in wireless charging – otherwise nothing will happen, of course.
Unfortunately, the case itself can not be charged wirelessly but uses a charge via USB-C on the back. On the one hand a pity, on the other hand, I’m glad that at least no Micro USB was installed. A complete charge takes about 3 hours when the case is empty and it can offer 5 times full charges of the headphones in the case. As I mentioned at the beginning, the headphones make it up to 10 hours of battery life, so you have up to 60 hours of battery life with the case. If the power has gone out while listening to music, thanks to fast charging you can recharge an hour of battery life in just 5 minutes.
In everyday life, the Pamu Slide have done very well and kept in the mix between 8 and 9 hours, depending on how loud you hear. The automatic connection is very quickly, as soon as you take the headphones out of the case. And the connection is terminated again, if you put then back into the case. Once you get used to it, you do not want to give this feature away anymore. If it gets wet, but it will not let the Pamu down, because they are IPX6 protected against water, but not completely waterproof. As connection Bluetooth 5.0 is available, including AptX, the connection is stable without any crashes. Even if the smartphone is a room further, there is no weaknesses in the connection.
Well, now we have talked enough about specs and finally come to the sound. As I said in the intro, they rarely have a great sound, so excited me. Clear highs, well-balanced mids and a really fat low bass, creating a very good sound with a pleasantly wide stage. No matter if Hip Hop, RnB, House or Trap music, all sound awesome and above all has the necessary punch without being obtrusive in any way. The maximum volume is also very loud, and the sound dont distorts even to maximum, even the heights do not screech.
