How to create your marbled nails?

One of the easiest nail designs to do yourself are marble nails. By layering on a few different nail polish colors, you can create a stunning marbled effect on all nail shapes and lengths. Below we show you how to achieve this super easy manicure in our step by step nail art tutorial.

The steps to create marbled nails:

Step 1: Apply your base coat

Start by prepping your nails, filing and polishing them with an portable nail drill. Then apply two coats of the base color.

Step 2: Add Texture

Take the plastic wrap and roll it into a ball. Put a drop of the base color and texture color on a clean surface and squeeze the ball into the two colors to mix them together. Then gently press and roll the film onto the nails, creating a textured finish.

Step 3: Add details

Once the base color and texture color have dried, it’s time to pick up the detail brush. Dip the detail brush into your detail nail polish color, then draw wavy lines of that color sporadically across the nails, following the texture lines as best you can.

Step 4: Add shine

Clean the nail brush with your nail polish remover, then wipe it on a tissue paper until completely dry. Then dip it in your metallic color and add metallic accents near the wavy lines of your detail color.

Step 5: Remove all stains

Clean the edges of your nails and any smudges on your fingers with an eye shadow brush and nail polish remover. Wait for your color to dry before applying your top coat.

Step 6: Apply your top coat

Apply a layer of top coat to seal the manicure and let it dry for at least 10 minutes.
